His career began in the Royal Danish Air Force in 1974, where he worked with advanced radio, navigation, and radar technologies on aircraft including the F-104 Starfighter and F-16. He has taught both technicians and pilots in Denmark and Norway, and has since been deeply involved in product development, international cooperation, and management in marine technology.

After working with companies such as Shipmate, Elektronikcentralen, Danmarks Radio, and Leica (AP Navigator), Lars established Prokyon ApS in 2003 with a vision to provide professional, independent service, installation, and consultancy in marine electronics. Since then, he has supported everything from small yachts to large cruise ships and is authorized to perform GMDSS radio inspections on commercial vessels.

In addition to his role at Prokyon, Lars runs My Boat Electronics – a digital learning platform where boat owners can learn to understand, maintain, and troubleshoot their own marine electronics. His mission is to make sailing safer, clearer, and more accessible to everyone.

Lars is known for his deep technical expertise, systematic approach, and ability to solve even the most complex faults – and he remains active in the field every day, assisting with troubleshooting, installations, and technical consulting.
